| The TOMOV Folk Dance Ensemble, ranked one of the foremost ethnic dance companies in America, was a New York City-based performing and touring ensemble. Critically acclaimed and enthusiastically received by audiences across the country and abroad, the Ensemble boasted more than 40 dancers, singers, and musicians performing in a colorful array of over 300 authentic, handmade costumes to the exciting rhythms and sounds of native folk instruments from regions as diverse as Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, and Bosnia. TOMOV brought a rich, timeless tradition to the stage and transported the audience to a folk world of flashing color, lively movement and hauntingly beautiful melodies. |
